abstract = "Porto velho population, suffers with high indices of criminality.
Porto Velho, Rond{\^o}nias capital, was considered in 2002, the
most violent city in Brazil. Based on these precepts, it was
considered the relevance of current work and the progress its
final product would bring to society. The study was conducted
successfully and was able to present consistent results. Using
various techniques, as Moran I, LISA, Minimum Spanning Tree,
Kernel Estimation, Gi and Gi* functios, it was found spatial
conglomerates, risk areas and therefore need more attention. The
Kernel estimation maps, found higher incidences of crime and the
secondary crime zones, in addition to presenting results of the
crime in relation with the population at risk (weighted average).
It follows that the use of exploratory spatial data analysis to
mention the issue of crime was extremely effective, and allows the
study get more detailed in an immeasurable way.",
